Casey Stoner’s Moto GP prospects

March 11th, 2010

MotoGP or Motorcycle Grand Prix has a long and storied history. Started 60 years ago, MotoGP is the oldest format of motorcycle racing. Getting hooked on this competitive and entertaining sport is as easy as watching a race. No race is the same and just hearing the motors rev is enough to get your adrenaline pumping. There have been some incredible races and excellent riders throughout the years and this year the competition was fierce.

The 2010 season promises to be a fantastic season for motorcycle racer Casey Stoner. If you are a fan of this phenom or a fan of professional motorcycle racing in general, Stoner will not disappoint. Racing since he was 4 years old and a winner in every class, he has had many breathtaking finishes and several spectacular crashes. His Moto GP races have been especially exciting to watch. Due to a “mysterious illness” in the 2009 season, Stoner did not perform up to his normal high expectations. He seems to have overcome this problem and will be back strong and in contention for the 2010 season.

The season will be starting soon. Now is a great time to be planning for how to get to the races and which ones to go see this year. The schedule is out now, starting in Quatar in April, events run all throughout Europe up through November. The best way to get in on the 2010 motorcycle MotoGP racing season is by taking a weekend trip to see a race as all of the MotoGP events are multistage events. To see a race live is the thrill of a lifetime. Die hard fans follow the circuit for months. Their favorite method of travel is in a motorhome. Most have saved up and bought their motorhome, but some have found ways to join their compatriots by renting a motorhome instead. Travel in style and luxury in a motorhome or RV. You can have all the comforts of home on the road. Several companies will rent you a mobile home for the weekend. You can be just like the drivers themselves who have their own travel motorhomes that they take to the events.

So come be a fan for a weekend, or a season of MotoGP. Experience the excitement of the racing world firsthand and travel like the drivers in a motorhome. It will be a great 2010 season!

Michael Schumacher’s Formula 1 prospects for the 2010 Season

March 11th, 2010

The big news for the 2010 Formula One Racing season is the return of seven-times world champion Michael Schumacher after spending a few years in retirement. Most observers feel that Michael has a really good shot at the championship in 2010. First of all, he is widely considered to be the best driver of his era. He will be driving an updated version of the Brawn car that won the championship last year with an inferior driver. Although the team has since been bought by Mercedes, Ross Brawn remains in charge- the same man who Schumacher has won all of his championships with. The pairing has a track record of success. Will they be able to take the crown from the British reigning world champion Jenson Button? All of Britain will be watching very closely.

With such an exciting season in store, Silverstone is sure to be a sell-out. After some tense moments in negotiations, the British GP is set for July 11. When the F1 circus comes to town, there will be a high demand for motorhome hire. One reason Silverstone almost got cut from the schedule was the poor condition of its facilities. Renovations are underway but not expected to be complete until 2011. Hiring a motorhome for the weekend is a great way to have a clean, elegant, and relaxing place to hide out in between track time. Drivers and fans alike traditionally rent or even buy motorhomes for the British Grand Prix so they can enjoy the weekend in style and luxury. Silverstone is sure to be a thrilling race this year!

Formula One has been a bit unpredictable in the last few seasons and the British GP will be no exception. Longtime back-of-the-grid teams such as Red Bull have been suddenly winning races. Stalwarts such as Ferrari have been falling behind. This has brought a lot of life into the series and makes things more exciting for the fans, leading to bigger audiences at race weekends and higher demand for motorhome hire. With the introduction of new rules this year such as the ban on refueling, it is even more difficult to say for sure who will come out on top. Indeed Ross Brawn is a master at pit stop strategy, but this year that advantage will be minimized thanks to the new rules. Even after a few years out of the sport, Michael probably still has the speed needed to win. The great unknown is if he will have the right car to bring home the championship.

Andrea Dovizioso’s Moto GP Prospects for the 2010 Season

March 11th, 2010

In the world of Moto GP racing, 23-year-old Italian Andrea Dovizioso excites crowds consistently. After moving up to Moto GP in 2008, he placed as a top-five finisher on five separate occasions during his debut season. In 2009, Dovizioso earned his first victory at Donnington Park during the British Grand Prix and finished the season ranked sixth in the world. Few young riders distinguish themselves so quickly in a highly competitive sport.

Dovizioso continues riding for the official Honda factory team in 2010. Honda HRC provides direct-factory support for the advanced RC212V race bikes the team currently uses. Fans may recall, factory maintained RC212Vs became the official race bike during the 2007 season and ran as a top contender in all races since introduced. Because of the uniqueness of the four-stroke 800cc design, many critics retain doubts about competitiveness when facing traditional 500cc two stroke engines.

Moto GP returns to Silverstone on June 6, 2010 for the British Grand Prix. When returning to the site of his first victory, Dovizioso must finish within the top five to verify his previous victory. This time however he returns to the British Grand Prix with almost unlimited factory support.

HRC is known for lavish spending to support its Repsol Honda Race Team. Honda factory racers enjoy the benefits of world-renowned technology, legendary mechanics, luxurious motorhome rentals, and access to best racing research available. Nevertheless, winning is not certain. All motorcycle factories consider the British Grand Prix as a premier event and pressure riders to perform well.

The pressure to win is evident in the paddock when riders seek the comfort of a motorhome rental. Riders have little time for fans before a race. Their faces reveal the strain of performance demands and their tempers often flare unexpectedly. After a race, the best riders tend to relax in front of a motorhome rental and enjoy discussing the race. All fans around the world anticipate Dovizioso’s reaction to mounting pressure.

Dovizioso remains poised for a record-setting 2010 season. With the benefit of two years’ experience, performance expectations run high among sports writers. The factory maintained RC212V Honda motorcycle does however raise concerns. Valentino Rossi rides a state-of-the-art 500cc Yamaha with proven performance capabilities. As a nine-time World Grand Prix Motorcycle Championship winner, Rossi exudes confidence at the beginning of the 2010 season. As a result, the Dovizioso faces formidable odds while riding a motorcycle with an unproven engine design.
