The Compact SUV Roundup…..Which One Should Be In Your Driveway?

February 4th, 2010

If you are in the market for a new or used compact sport utility vehicle you are in a very lucky position. Not only do you have every auto maker in the world screaming sell, sell, sell, sell but you have every Tom, Dick, and Harry doing the same. This makes the 2009 year the time to pick up a bargain of a lifetime.

The Nissan Xterra Chiltons Repair Manual and vehicle is aimed at the more outdoorsy type person who wants a four-wheel drive with good gas mileage. The Xterra can go anywhere and still save you a few dollars at the pump. Getting 24 mpg city and 29 mpg highway it is one of the best compact or small sport utility vehicles on the road. One of the major concerns is the roll over safety and reliability record. The roll over safety concerns comes with any sport utility vehicle that you buy but the Xterra has major safety issues when it comes to the roll over test. Almost any sport utility vehicle that you get into an accident with ends up in a roll over, making your families safety a major concern. As far as reliability the Xterra comes with a much, checkered history and when I say checkered I mean very bad. The Xterra is great for anybody that does not have to worry about anybody else but themself. But if you have a family this is not the vehicle for you.

Let us be honest, Korea came out with the Haynes Hyundai Santa Fe Manual to compete in a market that was wide open for the taking, the only thing is they did not over take the market with their Santa Fe. Instead they offered a new exciting piece of crap. The Santa Fe is just what it feels like when you first test drive. It is an unrefined cheaply made with slave labor vehicle. You might as well call your local go-cart dealership up, as buy one of these. If we sold manuals for repairing this vehicle we would be rich. The only problem is you need a descant mechanic to fix one of these, it is incredibly hard just to change a light bulb in one of these things, so just forget about doing anything more than changing the oil and air filter. We should also tell you that it retails for the same price as any other compact sport utility vehicle around twenty five thousand dollars.

Do you want to get excited about a car? Well then look somewhere else then the Ford Escape. The Ford Escape Chiltons Manual is one of the major reasons for Fords economic problems. This compact sport utility vehicle was to be aimed at the young up and comer but they all went bankrupt. So now Ford is forced to sell it for less then what it costs to make. The Ford Escape has a huge mark up but if you cannot sell it for what it costs to make what does it matter. The Ford Escape does not offer anything special to outline except for the fact that it easy to work on. Made for the American consumer the Ford Escape is easily maintainable with nothing more than a manual and set of tools. It retails for an astounding twenty seven thousand dollars, which is remarkable considering it only costs twelve thousand to make.

If you are in the Market for an SUV Repair Manual or one of these vehicles, remember that if you paid more than the dealership you got ripped off. If you decide to buy used take advantage of your buying power and rake the seller over the coals, trust me there is no one waiting to buy if you do not.

4 Wheeling Machines: Which One Is Right For You?

February 4th, 2010

The late 80´s was the time to buy your compact SUV. Three very popular options at the time were, the Ford Bronco II, the Chevrolet Blazer and the Toyota 4Runner. If you´re looking for a good used car that can seat around 6 people, these three compact SUVs are three good options.

The Haynes Ford Bronco II Manual made it´s debut in 1984 and only sold until 1990. Ford made the Bronco II to keep up with the competition. The Bronco II is a smaller version of the Bronco, which sold from 1966-1977, and was replaced by the Ford Explorer, which still sells today. The Bronco II had optional 4-wheel drive, a 94″ wheel base, a 3-door wagon style, and a 115 horsepower, 2.8 liter V6 engine. The XLT model offered a more luxury interior and very few offered an Eddy Bauer trim package featuring premium accessories and high quality upholstery. The Bronco II was replaced with the slightly larger Explorer when safety reports concluded that the Bronco II had a tendency to roll over, and sales plummeted. It was later proved that all compact SUVs had the same tendency to roll over and the report on the Bronco II was closed.

The Toyota 4Runner Shop Manual is a Japanese competitor of the Bronco II. The 4Runner featured a 2.4 Liter V8 engine. This vehicle is known for being very easy to fix and offers an array of extra accessories for everyone’s taste. The 4Runner was a 4-wheel drive vehicle that had two doors, and a removable hard top over the cargo area in the back. It came in two models; the first was focused on utility and only had seating in the front. The second model was made to carry 5 passengers with a smaller amount of utility space. The rear seat of the this model could be folded down to offer added storage space, and it also included a more luxury interior for a more comfortable travel experience for passengers. Toyota continues to offer the 4runner today with some major differences in the vehicle. Some new and improved features that the 4Runner now offers are hill start assist control, automatic limited-slip differential, front and rear mudguards, power moonroof, skid plates, automatic climate control, CD player with 6 speakers, auxiliary auto jack, power adjustable driver’s support, fold down second row bench seat, black and silver interior trip with fabric trim on the doors, cargo area backup mirrors, power windows, and an advanced airbag system for added safety while travelling. The 4Runner has been around since 1984. By looking at the information on the old version of the 4Runner and the newer versions, it is obvious that the 4Runner as always been a leading option for a compact SUV since it debuted.

Another four-wheel drive option is the Chevrolet Blazer Repair Manual. The 1984 Chevrolet Blazer offered a 106.5 inch wheel base, and a steel half-cab with a roll bar build into the steel front. The Blazer was powered by a 2-liter, 4-cylinder engine and 83 horsepower. With cruise control optional and an optional off-road package that offered larger tires, front tow hooks, bilstein shocks and more, the Blazer was a good choice for those who wanted to pay a bit extra to have a bit extra added to their vehicle. Chevrolet no longer makes the blazer, but they have replaced it with a more compact version, called the Trailblazer. The Trailblazer features OnStar which has an automatic response in the case of an accident.

Whether you prefer Chevrolet, Ford, or Toyota, a nice, used compact SUV Repair Manual might be right for you. These three options are all great for whatever you need.
